Latest update (31 December 2023):  

​Christmas Care has now closed for this year - a huge thank you to ALL our volunteers and donors!  We have been able to welcome a full house of guests, feed them well, provide warmth and Christmas cheer.  When we closed, we were able to bid them farewell with goodie bags of food and other essentials. 

​Thank you to everybody involved - we wish you all a very Happy New Year.

Christmas Care is a Swindon charity that has provided hospitality for homeless and vulnerable local people every Christmas since 1988. We are now based in The Haven Day Centre, Queen's Drive, Swindon SN3 1AR.

We provide a drop-in day centre for homeless and isolated people in the Swindon area over the Christmas period.

  • The dates we are open - from Christmas Eve for a week (exact dates are determined each year). 

  • Our opening times for guests are 9:00am - 5:30pm each day.

  • We offer a full English breakfast, hot home-cooked lunch and an early evening snack.  In between, there are hot drinks, chats, companionship and festive cheer. 

  • Guests do not need to book in advance. 

  • For insurance reasons, we are unable to accommodate anyone under 18 years old, guest or volunteer

It is run entirely by volunteers and a small committee, and is funded purely from donations, both cash and donations in kind.
