Financial Donations

The easiest method for us to receive donations is via bank transfer to the following account:

Individual UK taxpayers may increase their donations by 25% with no cost to themselves by the filling in our online Gift Aid form.

Latest update (24th September 2026):

We are happy to announce that our elves are busy at work preparing for 2026's offering. 

 

Last year, we fed 98 individuals a total of 486 meals, whilst providing over 870 hours of warm, safe space.

 

This year we are planning to operate for an extra day, meaning more meals, more warmth, and more joy for our guests.  We will be operating between the 24th to the 30th December.

​The application period  for volunteers will be opening from the 5th October this year, and running until the 1st November, to provide us enough time to create the rotas.

​

Donation days are to follow once we have confirmed availability of the Haven, but it is expected to be during the two weekends before Christmas.​

​

Christmas Care is a Swindon charity that has provided hospitality for homeless and vulnerable local people every Christmas since 1988. We are based in The Haven Day Centre, Queen's Drive, Swindon SN3 1AR.

​

We provide a drop-in day centre for homeless and isolated people in the Swindon area over the Christmas period.  It is run entirely by volunteers and a small committee, and is funded purely from donations, both cash and donations in kind.

​

  • We offer a full English breakfast, a hot home-cooked lunch and an early evening snack.  In between, there are hot drinks, chats, companionship and festive cheer. 

  • Guests do not need to book in advance. 

  • For insurance reasons, we are unable to accommodate anyone under 18 years old, guest or volunteer. 

  • The dates we open are from Christmas Eve for a week (exact dates are determined each year).  

  • Our opening times for guests are 9:00am - 5:30pm each day, other than the last day when when we close at 3:00pm.​​
