
TRUSTEES
Christmas Care is a registered charity (number - 1131756) run by a small committee of Trustees and co-opted volunteers that coordinates all the volunteers, donations and everything else needed to enable the guests to be so well looked after over the festive season. The current Trustees are shown below.

Diane Killick - Chairman
Diane has been a Trustee of Christmas Care since 2013 and became Chairman in 2017. She became a member of the management team in 2008, following several years of increasing involvement in the charity before that.
Diane also currently volunteers for Swindon Night Shelter and Foodbank. She has volunteered previously for the Salvation Army and has 20 years’ experience with Scouting, up to the role of Commissioner.

John Davidson - Treasurer
John has served as Christmas Care’s Treasurer since 1999, and has been a Trustee since 2009. He also:
-
is currently a volunteer in the Prospect Hospice warehouse; and
-
volunteered for 20 years with Swindon’s breakfast club for the homeless, Big Breakfast +, including many years serving as a member of the Management Committee.
He is an active member of Swindon’s Dorcan Church, currently a Trustee on the Church Council. He has previously served as Council Chair and as a Church Warden.

Betty Spence - Life President
Betty was the inspiration and founder of Christmas Care in 1988. She was a founding Trustee when it was formally registered as a charity and has been key to building it up to the standing it has in Swindon today. She was honoured with one of the first Pride of Swindon awards in 2010 for her achievements.
Betty became Life President of Christmas Care in January 2014.

Victoria Hellyer - Trustee
Victoria has been helping at the charity since the mid “noughties”, became a Committee member in 2013 and a Trustee in 2017.
Victoria currently works with her husband in digital marketing, and worked most of her career as a chartered surveyor / web professional for Drivers Jonas Deloitte. She is responsible, inter alia, for Christmas Care’s website.

Harriet Scott - Trustee
Harriet has been a volunteer at Christmas care for the last 4 years. She became a Committee member 2017 and in January 2019 was appointed a new Trustee of Christmas Care. Harriet has grown up and lived in Swindon and surrounding areas her whole life and is passionate about helping the vulnerable and homeless. She brings organisation and new ideas to the team.
