V cars, Swindon - V Cars (part of the Veezu Group) is the South West's largest and fastest growing private vehicle hire company, operating from offices in Swindon, Chippenham, Bath and Bristol. The company caters for a variety of travel needs 24/7, 365 days a year and is the fastest growing private vehicle hire company in the region. For Christmas 2020 V Cars kindly donated 240 selection boxes of festive chocolates to distribute some seasonal cheer to our guests, in what has been a particularly difficult year for them.
Blunsdon House Hotel - Blunsdon House Hotel is a 4* family-owned hotel set in 30 acres of beautiful Wiltshire countryside, just south of Swindon. With a leisure club and indoor pool, and a 9 hole par 3 golf course it is a popular hotel with people traveling on business, families or couples wanting a short break. We are very grateful to the hotel team who have cooked the turkeys for our Christmas Lunch for several years, and are did so again in 2019.
Burden Electronics - This long-established family-run Swindon company has been selling and servicing home entertainment and domestic appliances in Swindon since 1974. The firm has provided Christmas Care with a television for guests since the early 1990s.
Eurogroup is an accredited specialist international removals company and has been moving individuals, families and businesses for over 25 years. When Christmas Care had to change its location in 2016, it unfortunately lost the use of year-round storage. In 2017 Eurogroup generously filled that gap by providing a storage container, which has continued to be invaluable for managing our resources & donations.
The Hills Group Limited - Swindon based Hills became involved with Christmas Care in 2003, and has contributed each year in various ways. One constant has been the provision of waste collection and removal services during the period when service users are accommodated over the festive period plus donations from Hills’ employees of non-perishable goods. Mike Hill, chief executive of Hills said: “The support that Christmas Care provides over the festive seasons makes a big difference to homeless and vulnerable people in Swindon and we are pleased to be involved in helping the local community.”
Lower Shaw Farm - Lower Shaw Farm has held a very popular December event annually since 1997 - Carols by Candlelight - with shadow play, live performances, mulled wine, a roaring fire, and cartloads of carols. They wanted this popular event to help those in Swindon in particular need at Christmas time. Christmas Care has been the main beneficiary of the money raised since 2002.
Mister Shifter UK Ltd - Mister Shifter is a Swindon-based professional removals firm with many years' experience dealing with domestic and corporate customers. They can also provide safe and secure storage during the course of a removal. They provided Christmas Care with stacking storage containers which made the management of our donations so much easier than in previous years.
Swindon College - Swindon College catering students have made delicious home-made desserts for Christmas Care since 2017 - they are always well-appreciated by our guests!
